FAQs

Why should you hire a copywriter?

You should hire a great copywriter to write your marketing materials. Period. Why? Because even if you’re an excellent writer and actually have the time to spend writing, you can’t stop knowing what you know. You are too close to your own products and services to write objectively about them in a persuasive way. Many business owners, entrepreneurs and experts think they’re saving money by writing their own copy. But they don’t know the emotional persuasion triggers their customers need to hear in order to buy. They don’t realize when they’re talking over the reader’s head; when they’re giving too much information; when they’re talking features, not benefits. A copywriter sees your business from the outside and the inside. She is the perfect person to explain your products and services in the way a potential customer needs to see them.

Why should you hire me as your copywriter?

Your market is more skeptical and doubting than at any other time in history. Yet their psychology hasn’t changed one bit since Eve picked that forbidden fruit way back when. You need a copywriter who holds a complete understanding of human buying psychology, persuasion techniques and the new 21st century marketing environment. I put every piece of writing I do through a 13 point checklist to make sure your copy is as persuasive and as trustworthy as possible. If honesty, integrity and awesome sales are important to you, you should hire me to handle your writing for you.

How does the process work?

1) You call or email me, and we discuss your project needs.

2) We decide on a plan of action, and I email you an agreement

3) 50% of the fee is due before I begin working. (Check, bank wire or paypal work fine)

4) I write a draft and send it to you for approval. Most of the time, this is all we need to do. If minor changes are required, we discuss them and I edit the work as necessary.

5) The remaining 50% of the fee is due upon delivery of the final product.

How long does it take?

Every project has its own time requirements, but most projects can be completed within one to two weeks. I have been known to pull some amazing copywriting superpowers out of my hat when a client needs something done ASAP. I’ve written a 17-page sales letter in under 24 hours and an entire 150 page book in just 7 days. So you can see, I don’t mess around. Neither one of us has the time to waste. Rush orders are subject to a 50% markup on the fee and the entire fee is due up front. But if you’re in a hurry, there aren’t many writers in the world who can do what I do.

How much is it going to cost?

Your project is unique, and it’s almost impossible to quote a price without talking to you about it first. But ballpark figures can help you make up your mind to call me. So, here are a few price ranges to give you a general idea of what you’re looking at for cost. I’m not the cheapest copywriter, but I’m no where near the most expensive, either.

Webpages (general pages) — $250

Social media profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)–$150

Autoresponder/email marketing series — $100 per piece

Case studies (2 pages) — $900

Landing pages, Sales web pages, Sales letters, Sales letter videos — $2,000 – 10,000

Ghostwriting/editing — $1,500 – 25,000
(books, ebooks, reports, whitepapers, etc.)

Book proposals — $3,500

Got a different project in mind? Just ask.

Can you just look over my marketing and help me improve it myself?

In a word, yes. Not everyone needs or wants brand new marketing copy. But I’ve found a lot of folks leave hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table just because they didn’t know a simple tweak here and there would make a huge difference. I can help you build or improve your SEO, local search and other traffic strategies via phone consultation. Just let me know what your goals are and we’ll figure out how to get you there. I charge $500 up front for a comprehensive review of your marketing. If you later decide to hire me for a copywriting project we discuss during this call, part or all of your fee may be applied to the overall fee.
